Actually, this unit is fantastic! I'm not sure what the guy above was talking about but I currently own several sony devices from DVD cameras to recorders, LCD televisions, MD players, etc. and have not had any trouble with them.

I assume your question is referring to the DVP-CX995V. This is the newest 400 disc DVD changer Sony makes and has vast improvements over the older model specifically in searching and accessing discs. The unit is great because I can store my entire DVD collection in the player without ever having to touch the discs and getting fingerprints or scratches on them. You can title each disc with a computer keyboard and then search for the discs on your TV screen in alphabetical order. From the time you select a disc to the time the movie plays on screen only about 20 seconds have passed...not bad at all. The unit also has HDMI output for the best picture quality connection to a compatible display device. Another feature is 40 disc memory. Say you start watching a movie and have to leave. If you stop playing the disc, the unit will remember and start where you left off next time you play that disc. It will remember the last point for 40 discs!! That is unheard of. I would highly recommend the unit, but my only complaint is that every time you power up the unit, the player automatically begins playing the disc that is selected and you cannot override this feature until the disc has started playing. Very small complaint for such a great unit. Give it a try...you'll love it.

why would you need a 400 dvd disc changer? you too lazy to take movies out of the case and put them back in when you're done?

Everything Sony is as good as their famous "Sony timer" is not activated. And If you know and owned Sony products before, then you know they mysteriously go bad right after the warranty expires.
