If you are talking about a cat ...Nothing. Cats don't listen and sometimes they bite and scratch you for no f-ing reason. They are sometimes assholes and sometimes they love you.

I'm sure you're talking about your kitties, since that's where you put the question.
Cats aren't known for their listening skills. I however lucked out, and my kitties listen to me quite well. If a cat bites you, he's probably doing it for a reason. He could be irritated or just upset. Leave him alone for a while, or approach him quietly and pet him until he calms down.
If this becomes a daily, or routine, or malicious thing, buy a spray bottle and fill it with 75% pure white vinegar. Fill the rest up with tap water. Spray the kitty once he's been bad. The taste is foul and they learn quickly not to do things again.

Much the same as you do when your child disobey's or bites you. Be firm with them, let them know you do not like what they have done.. but do it when they are bad and do not wait until later or they will not know why you are correcting them. I put my dog in his room (laundry and tell him he is a bad dog) then after a bit will let him out..

I once had a Male cat that would bite and I would actually have to take a hold of the back of his neck to make him release me. But I would tap him on the bridge of his nose with my finger and tell him "NO BITE" and he finally learned that if I said those words to stop or I would tap his nose. But you have to stay firm with what ever you do about it... But don't abuse them.

I have one cat who doesn't listen to my "firm" no like the others do. I spray him with water when he's acting up.
