OK, you're gonna get a different answer from a Trinitarian, and an entirely different answer from a Jehovah's Witness or Mormon.
The best way to answer this is an analogy: I am somebody's father, somebody's son, and somebody's friend, but this doesn't make me three different people. Instead they are three titles, three roles I play. God is One, and how He is referred to is based on how He is currently interacting with Mankind. The impression I get from most Trinitarians is that they worship a single God with Multiple Personality Disorder.

You are right about 1+1+1 could never equal 1
1+1+1=3 The Holy Trinity : Hence the "Tri" meaning 3 in Trinity
1 God the father
1 The son (Jesus)
1 The Holy Spirit
= 3 The Holy Trinity
Hope that helps!

Well, for me 1+1+1 is still 3 as it was when you went to school. Besides, I ask myself another question. Being three different personalities, the Father, the son and the Holy Spirit, if ever they have difference of opinion, what would be the fate of the world if they are different and then you get a reply that NO they are one, the father, the son and the holy spirit are all ONE and thats how it proves that 1+1+1=1...;)

You are right. 1+1+1 =3 But, Think of it as God has to be in 3 places at once. How can he do that? Well, God The Father is in Heaven watching over everything. God The son, Died on the cross, so that we could Be seen by the Father, and the Holy Spirit is like your conscience. Hope this helps
They are ONE. In the Same. Think of it as an algebra problem.... 1GTF + 1GTS + 1GTHS = One Awesome GOD. (You can't really add them together, if they are the same. Good luck

Spirit, Mind, Body = Holy Ghost, Father, Son. This is one way of looking at it. Basically, all it means is that there are 3 states of existance for a human being
- what we see & perceive is the physical body/state of existance as projected to us by the 5 senses
- an astral body which sub consciously take care of the millions of functions within our body (that which causes us to breathe & heart to beat). When this energy leaves the body, we are clinically pronounced dead.
-a causal body which is the highest state and the most subtle realm where there is just the awareness called 'me'.And it is at this level that we are united with God. Self realization occurs when one can connect with this state.
So essentially, it is just 3 states of existance of a singularity called God.1+1+1 is 1 and 3 at the same time.

Depending on who you believe. There is God as god, god in the form of his son - the man who was both god and human, and god in the form of the holy spirit. Its a variation of God, not three different things.
Its like you wearing a red hat, you wearing a blue hat, and you wearing a yellow hat - but its still you under the hat.
But some people only believe in God as God and Jesus as a separate being. Some even toss out the holy spirit all together.
Not all of Christianity shares the same beliefs.

Maths can't solve the mysteries of God. if God counted your sins and punished you for it all the times it would have added up to 99999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999 and still counting, rather God said that you have sinned only and HE paid a price for it. the Holy Trinity is like - Three persons in one. They are like the Sweet Cake - there is egg - sugar - plums all in one but its know as cake and not as egg sugar plums etc etc.

As we are trying to understand the attributes of an infinite being - with finite minds - I fear it is one of those things we will have to wait until after we leave this life to know fully. The Apostle Paul says something to the effect of seeing (now) in a mirror darkly - but then "face to face." He also says we will know as we are known.
At this point, for me at least, it is a mystery as to how God could be one and three at the same time, but I believe it is so.

They relate this crap to states of matter(liquid/solid/gas).
Consider water.
You know it as steam/vapor, liquid, or ice. Well it's still water, but just in a different form. Therefore, they try to tell you this holy trinity blah blah blah.
Religion is a HOAX. Avoid it.
