Im sure since you are an american you know all about freedom of speech. You arent forced to believe in God, perhaps the feeling of pressure is your own hearts conviction?

Uummmm...what are you talking about? If you were an American, maybe you could spell/write better? You're a first American? What does that mean? If you're an American, then you should have heard of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. You were forced by the zealots to do what? To hear about them? If you don't want to hear about "this crap" all the time, then why don't you go back to wherever you came from and worship Buddha or Mohammed or Confucius or whoever. One of the first things you should do if you're an American is to learn how to write/spell/puncuate.

David,

You are not forced to do anything... I agree with one of the answer posters for this question... it appears that you are being convicted out of your own heart about the nature of G-D... perhaps you should try to not be so angry and just give in.

Belief in a supreme being or Sovereign Lord is something that you CHOOSE to do.

I am a Christian and an American citizen... if you are uncertain as to what to do about it, consult a Tanakh or the KJV of the Bible... read what is in there and maybe you will make a choice based on what you read (reed) and believe from what you have read (red).

I added the sounding of the words in case you get confused.

First of all, I don't believe anyone can or should be forced to believe in any deity or similar being. But, since radical conservatism has been on the rise in the world since the mid 1970s (especially the Moral Majority, overthrow of the Iranian government), belief in God has become a ticket to a gathering of persons who would delight in your conversion to their beliefs... or threaten you with hell or the lake of fire or bad luck if conversion doesn't happen. It's all very sad, I must admit. If you are forced into believing in any God, you have been stripped of your rights as a person and as an American citizen.

You shouldn't be forced to hear it, I agree. It's a sad fact of reality though, that the religious nuts require you to see it their way. Whatever you do, don't be suckered and don't give in. Every single one of them thinks they're right and not one of them have the evidence to back it up. I believe in God, but would never force it on you or expect you to believe in him- Not to mention that faith does not make it so. Just because you believe something doesn't make it true. There are homeless people who claim to be Jesus and what other people in mainstream religion believe is no less ridiculous.
I agree, it's unfair to you to be constantly bombarded with it. A parting note though, you may find it of use or not-

A quote: "There may or may not be a God, I may or may not believe in him. The only way I lose is if there is a god and I do not believe in him, therefore, I believe in God to minimize my downside risk."

This only follows what the religious nuts try to force down your throat but it's worded a little better, either way though, the threat is of eternal hell if you don't see it their way and I can't imagine a righteous god doing that.

I don't know that much of what I typed here is really any help but at least you'll have the satisfaction of knowing that I agree with you, you shouldn't have it shoved down your throat.

Well it was because of people wanting to worship God their own way that brought them here. Now if you are saying that you are a native american, you have the right to choose. This also includes listening to as you say "crap". You do not have to stick around or go where it is talked about all the time.

Wow, you can't be forced into believing anything! And, being brainwashed is a choice too, in my opinion.

I hear about a lot of stuff I don't like to hear, too. Either you accept it or reject it, and you reap the benefits or consequences of your decision.
If you feel that your hearing about it is excessive, maybe God is really trying to tell you something!

By the way, work on those run-on sentences, ok?

you are not forced into believeing in a god at all.. you hear about it all the time because the people telling you this really believe it and i think that they belive that they are better because of their beliefs and they like you and want to share that with you so that you can better your life as well, im sure they mean no harm but if it isnt what you want to hear then ya it gets annoying :)

Why are you asking about God? The very reason you are asking about Him is because He is calling you to ask Him into your life.

Revelation 3:20. "Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.

I think your real question is, "Why is God making me choose between Him and Hell?"

The answer here is that God wont send anyone to hell. No, everyone that goes to hell will be a volunteer. Jesus died on the cross to save you from the Hell you are are already bound for. Yes the truth is that you are going to Hell because of your own sins. God sent Jesus to die in your place to give you the option of accepting the free gift of salvation. God gives us what we dont deserve. He gives us life (With Him) when we deserve death (In Hell).

Read Romans 5:6-9

6. For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
7. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die.
8. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
9. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.

Please pray and accept Christ as your savior. Then seek a Bible believing church and study His word with them. God will change you in such wonderful and amazing ways. He will give you hope and purpose. You will no longer feel worthless but you will realize the reality of God's love for you. He would have died for you even if you were the only person He created. You are loved and special to God.

I think you be hard pressed to find anyone who ever forced you to believe in God. Believing in Him is a choice and rejecting Him is a choice. This is a choice He has given you to make. If you believe in Him He will receive you and have a relationship with you. If you reject Him He will respect your choice and allow you the consequences that come from that rejection. But the choice is yours nobody is forcing you to believe anything. God loves you so much He has done this for you as well as sending His Son to die for you so you can receive eternal life in Him if you choose. But nobody will force you to choose. With that don't balme God for your choices when they lead you to places you'd wish you'd never gone.
