RAM - read access memory - a memory usually a set of chips that is data stored in RAM is lost when power is turned off. the data you create are stored in RAM
ROM - read only memory - a group of chip that can only read and cannot be used for temporary storage. ROM retain their contents while the power is switched off.
LAN - local area network - it is a connection of computer within in one place only for example 8 units of computer is connected to each other in one place.
software - is a set of programs that belongs to the configuration of a given computer system and facilities its use - example - PASCAL, ASSEMBLY LANGUAGE, TURBO PASCAL
