Be there for each other, be able to depend on one another for love and support and be able to count on them to call you on your bullshit. This doesn't necessarily apply only to blood kin either. A family is the people you want to share your day with, etc.

A family is not a group of people who makes decisions for your life or criticize you in everything you do or say. I think what makes a family a family is to support their members in their hard days and cheer with them in their good days. Without any conditions.
