haha he just got lucky lol woman are just as bad as men I used to date this girl and the sole reason she was interested in me was because I was bigger than her and it made her feel small I mean she wasn't big at all she like 135 pounds but when she was younger she used to weight a lot more in the 200s or something and so dating me made her feel small have a really ugly fat guy walk up to a super model she wont give him the time of the day. Looks and sexual attraction is everything now I'm not saying you should have a relationship built on that hell no but everything that starts should have some type of attraction other wise where the lust, passion, and romance. Very few woman just go for the personality. Although you may believe your friend to be ugly to some woman he may be hot your a guy you can't judge another guy unless your gay. I feel that I'm horrifically ugly but yet the woman I date seem to think I'm incredibly hot. Woman are just weird we'll never under stand them you can try but you'll fail miserably trust me I've tried now I just go with the flow.

1st off, don't come on too strong. Nothing turns a girl off more than a guy who comes across as being desperate.
So, flirt a little so she knows you're interested, but then back off a bit, so you don't end up looking like a lost puppy.
Girls are also use to guys who are only interested in themselves. So, when you're talking to her, ask her lots of questions. "What's your favorite band?" "Cool, have you seen them in concert?" Then build from there. (Be sure the questions flow together, if you ask a whole bunch of random stuff at once, she'll think you're weird). She'll find it surprising and flattering that you want to hear what she has to say.
Good eye contact. Catch her eye, hold it for a second, give her a small smile, then look away. Very sexy move!
Most importantly, BE YOURSELF. Don't pretend to like something because she does, or try to beef up your ego by making up stories of things that aren't true. Girls are really turned off by guys who brag about themselves constantly.
Good self esteem is GREAT, an inflated ego is BAD.
Also, having self confidence is really sexy in a guy. Just be secure in who you are.
If this doesn't lure her in, then she's not worth your time.

Lesson learned. In the long run, personality and character will get you a lot further than looks alone.
Beyond that, girls aren't clones. Approach then as an individual and discover what they personally like. No one is a match for everyone, but you're a match for someone!!

Each person is different and look for different things. Your friend was fortunate to find a person that looks at his heart rather than just his physique. Most people are quickly attracted by looks first and then by personality because of whats known as first impressions.

most girls love guys personality's only if it is worth it and probably some girls go for looks but most love how the guy acts around them and feels comfortable to let a little lose around them. i go for personality, looks is a second bonus. i mean, most really good looking guys turn out to be real jack@ss'. personality is a thing that can sometimes be hard to find in men. so i go for at as soon as i can find it
