Not in the western sence but broadly speaking -yes.

Its a culture, a philosophy and a life style.

Thats why people of non Hindu origin can practice it along with their native religion wiothout converting.

Its a name collectively given to all Indian philosophies. Buddhism. Jainism, Sikhism, Charvaks all are very much branches of Hinduism., whether they accepot Vedas or not.

Ism canotes the ideology of thoughts. Hinduism has all merits of the religion and have large population to follow. It has historic dominance over other religions and has varities of good things for the changing modern world. Hindu relegion is widely accepted religion of the world.

Hinduism is not a religion, but it is a culture. A perfect culture with everything related to life:
Spirituality - Bhagawad Geetha
Health - Ayur Veda
Sex - Kamasutra
Ramayana - Rulers' ethics and wisdom.

But the present world has made it a Religion and that is the problem among Hindus today and with other religions.

Well, not in the sense that it was invented, established, or propagated (at least not till late medieval period)
I think the beauty of Hinduism is that scriptures were not written for it, rather, collective wisdom of centuries started precipitating as veds, upanishads, purans, mahakavyas, & the followers of these scriptures were given a name by outsiders as Hindus.
