My 2-year old sleeps 1 hour during the day and 10 to 11 hours at night. It's very variable, though; sometimes she does more, sometimes needs less. It's also variable from child to child and age to age, so you really can't be prescriptive about these things.
For example, one of my friends has a daughter aged 2.5 who doesn't need a mid-day nap at all, and will sleep for 11 hours at night. Another friend has a son, aged 2, who will sleep 3 hours during the day and 12 at night!! Some people get all the luck...

An average of 13 hours a day. But my two year old sleeps 13 hours at night and still takes a two-three hour nap every afternoon so not all kids are by the book.

They average 10 to 12 hours total - all in one go with no nap, or split up if they still nap. Some days they will sleep a little less (8-10 hours), some days a little more(12 - 14 hours). Just depends.

It depends on the child. is he or she in day care? if so how many hours is nap time, add this to the number of hours received at night and it should equal between 10-13 hours a day. This is needed for the child to perform at his best. Of course weekends are an exception, although if they maintain the schedule on the weekends you don't have to worry about fighting with them Monday morning.
