I was diagnosed going into Jr. High, and wore a back brace from 6th to 12th grade. When I graduated in 2001, I had the spinal fusion done, and now have metal rods on each side of my spine. Unfortunaly, they weren't able to treat the curve in my neck, but they did a pretty good job with the two in my back. I also had a twisting action forcing my right rib cage out and squeezing my heart on the other side. Anyone else here had a similar experience?

I did see a chiro. frequently while growing up, but they were never able to help me, I often left in more pain than when I went in. Now that I tell them I've got the metal, and that the bone is to grow around it, they won't touch me. I've found that yoga seems to help.

Yes, I've recently been diganosed with a mild case of Scoliosis. I was shocked to hear that, but I knew that all along, because my back has been hurting me since childbirth. But I've just started wearing a back-brace. Yes, this is a person who is currently going what you've been thru.

No. Well, not me. My mother has it, though not as severe. I hope you are currently seeing a chiropractor. They can do amazing things, though you have to give it time, especially seeing for how long you have had this.
