You should try researching techniques that induce lucid dreams. Your life is reality, but your dreams are not restrained within reality. Follow?

I understand your question, but how can you know the answer if you don't explore the dark alleys of your "supposed" reality? I do not reccomend drug use. They only give a distorted picture of what you've already seen in life.

The answer to this question depends on your definition of "Life."

If your definition of "Life" is limited to what you can perceive through your five senses. And, assuming the definition of "illusion" meaning incongruity of the perception among those five senses and/or in relation to one's previous perception(s). Then, you can never be 100% certain that what you're reading right now is an illusion or not.

However, if you expand your definition of "Life" to also include "memory" and "thought" then I can guarantee you that as your read these words, you are really experiencing "Life" (either as actually reading this sentence, or recreating that you're reading this sentence from your memory, or imagining that you're reading this sentence).

Life is real, because we conceive, and we think and interact.

However, because our minds cannot completely comprehend what the universe truly is, what things are composed of, we substitute reality with so called "illusions" or representations of what we see. for example, colors.

The wavelength of red exists, however, the experience of the color red, and its tonality, is a illusion to classify a specific experience of a photon hitting the eye with a specific energy.

Which brings up the adage, that the world is what we make it, because our minds do fill in large amounts of the world through memory because we simply cannot perceive it all. It's known as Mental representation.

hope i confused you more. good luck

Illusion? it's all perspective to me.
our eyes or was it our brains that flip images around
how do you know what your looking at is opposite?
if you think about it too much it will drive you nuts :P
i think these are one of the things you just don't think about :]
if it is an illusion
what would be reality?
if you are living in an illusion how would you tell if your illusion is actually the reality and the reality you believe is merely an illusion :]
confusing ain't it :D it can go on :]

This life is not an illusion at all and what the illusion is that is what we think and expect about it. This is 100% reality.

You can't It's a leap of faith. Just remember that when you find the truth, your memory will be wiped and you'll have to start from the beginning again. Cause the machines control everything. Even the people asking the questions.
