most people would say a mirror, though strangely enough, a mirror shows you the exact opposite of what you really look like...wierd, huh?
If you have the courage, you can most truly see yourself in how other people see you. Other people see you as you really are and if you are willing to let them tell you about yourself, you can gain a true understanding of who you are.

We can see ourselves in two ways. One through imaging. ie by a mirror pic or video. The second and most important way is through others. How they see us, how they talks and accepts us etc. The later view should be more important and taken care of

By recognizing that you are not your Ego! And then observe it as if it was (and it is) someone else!Observe your thought like they are someone else's without judging them in any way...Cause if you do, that's your ego coming back again. Ex: -When you walk ,observe the walker, when you talk, observe the talker .Just take full awareness of anything you do and just pay attention to it by paying full attention to the moment. You will then discover that if you can do that you are that observer;that counsiousness that wholeness and not the person you thought!!! But you can do that only by not thinking. You have thoughts but you are not them.

shut ur eyes (eyelids - eyes never shut, when eyelids shut Eyes look within), and the body disappeaers, then u r witnessing the mind - thoughts and thoughts and thoughts, don't fight them, slowly they will disappear and what will remain is the thoughtles/mindless in other words Universal mind, Universe = U+Inverse/formless yet all form. This is re+union, yog, the truth and that is U in all.
