Here's how you can solve your snoring problems. To get rid of your snoring problems, try to sleep on your side or stomach or raise the head of the bed four to six inches Avoid snoring problems by not using alcohol as a night cap and stop smoking.

. A few of these tips to avoid the snoring problems are not to eat a heavy meal before sleeping, to lose weight and to try nasal dilators to keep nostrils open and so on.

If none of the above seems to help, talk to your doctor about the many surgical procedures available to control your snoring problems.

you could get rid of your husband.

or

1. get checked for Deviated Septum
2. have sleep study done to check for Sleep Apnea
3. it can also be due to the thickness of the tongue.

#'s 1. & 3 require surgery to "cure" the problem, while # 2 usually requires wearing a certain type of device with a mask that blows or forces air in. These are usually either the Bpap or Tripap

Put two drops in each nostril, either Anu Tailam or Shadbindu Tailam, available on online ayurvedic pharmacies. These are oils made from herbs. They are to be used before bedtime. They will keep his nose clear and as oil goes to membranes across which brain sits, the nose remains clear, so that snoring sould reduces.

My wife used to pinch my nose and poke me till I stopped, but I kept on going...

Sleeping on my side helped a lot. That, and exercise. My father has always been a bad snorer and it got worse the bigger he got. He uses one of those respirator machines to stop me from snoring and it's louder than he is!

If it's really bad, get a doctor involved.

Get him tested for sleep apnea as this often causes snoring. If you go to your GP they can also help. My stepfather always kept my Mum awake but now he has a special kind of mouth guard he sleeps with and it prevents it.

Use anti-snoring products [1]. Or there's always the other way: "Uvulopalatopharyngoplasty" surgery [2].

May be a bigger problem than you imagined. Take him to a doctor and see if he may not have a sleep disorder called apnea. Either where his tongue or a flap of skin covers over his air passage and he has difficulty catching his breath while sleeping. It could literally kill him while he sleeps. Good luck...

Your husband should see his primary physician. He may have sleep apnea. It can cause many problems. It could be nothing, but would be good to check because there are things that can help him now if it is apnea.

Try having him sleep on his side. If that doesn't work, have him try those breathing strips(not sure if they really work). If it's terribly bad, he may need to be checked for sleep apnea.

did he break his nose at one time or another ? that could be the reason he snores. if so break it again. don`t worry you will probably hurt him more then yourself. I have heard women like that sort of thing.
