Because it's a takeout deli, not a restaurant. There are no tables to sit down and eat. If they have tables, they have to have a bathroom you can use.

I don't know what Subways you have been in but the ones I go to have them. Ive been in subways in Maryland, Virginia, New York, Massachusetts, Vermont, Georgia, California, Arizona, Missouri and wherever I can't remember. They all had a bathroom where I went to. Must be different in different places.

I'm from Indiana, and our Subways has both tables and restrooms.

ours over here in california have tables to eat in but the restroom is for employees and you have to ask to go use them. kinda sucks. but i think its also because they dont expect you to stay there long.
