I saw an old friend in a club this past weekend and he asked if we could have another shot at getting to know each other. One year earlier we had met but he had a girlfriend then and nothing ever happened between us.

He came over to my apartment and was the perfect gentleman as always. He said he would see me tommorrow, he went out with his friends instead. It has been two days and no call. Should I even give this guy the time of day?
We have never slept together and he was the one asking for another chance.

Should I bother; I have a feeling I am going to recieve a phone call from him in the morning.

They act like that because they are dogs... just kidding, kind of.
The reason guys do this is because they get a kind of high thinking they could have any woman any time they want. Nothing makes a guy's day more than being able to brag to his buddies about how he has the women just panting after him. So he got to keep stringing new ones along here and there because after awhile of being treated like dirt they wise up and kick his butt to the curb. Well thats all true for the immature ones and the players.
Also some guys think if a woman starts chasing after them or she is a sure thing its not very exciting anymore so they lose interest.
Best thing to do is to play a little hard to get in return. When he calls be casual and not so raring to go. If you go out with him keep it short and act like maybe he isnt the best thing around. Not that you don't like him but your not desperate to be with him. Act like you are keeping your options open. Don't act like a doormat. Have some self confidence and don't let being interested in this guy stop you from going out having a good time or even dating other people until this guy is more sure of how much he wants to be with you. If it is meant to be & this guy is the one for you then it will work out. Good luck.

It's not just men who behave this way. Women do the same thing. If I were you, I'd move on. There are plenty of other men out there who would be willing to give a woman the time of day, be interested in her, stay interested in her, call her (when he said he would), and not play hard to get. In fact, on top of all of that, there are men out there who would go out with a woman when he said he would and not leave a woman in the lurch by going out with friends instead.

If this man cannot give you the respect you need, find someone who will. I'm not saying it's going to be easy. But it's better than being heartbroken repeatedly by one individual. (Trust me. I know from experience when dating women in the past.)

Yes, maybe he forgot or had plans he had to take care of. If starts doing this regularly I would drop him like a hot rock. It was good that he treated you like a gentleman should on the first date. This is a sign that he is showing respect.

It sounds like he spent time with you, and found that he really wasn't that interested. Unfortunately it is very hard to tell someone, "You know what? I was wrong, I don't think I want to have another shot with you." or something similar. I say let it go, and find someone else.

Move on dear, he is not worth it. It sounds like sex is the only thing on his mind or would have made a strong effort to see you. If he calls(and you better not) then tell him to meet for dinner and see if he shows up. If not then public is not good for him and the bedroom is.

Good luck and stay on your toes(prada shoes are great for toes)tee hee

I think men like to play games and play with womens hearts. Don't give him the time of day cause sounds like he wants you when he wants not when you want. Find somebody else.

Tell him,( When someone tells me their going to do something, thats what I plan to see. When I say I'm going do something, I will. If your word is no good, I don't have time.)
Tell him he needs to know and understand that about you before he takes another step. If he does it again, let him know your done before it even gets started.

Sounds like he made a lame attempt at getting intimate with you, and expected you to make a move, and when you didn't he decided the chemistry wasn't there.
