I have Direct TV. Does anyone know the universal way to reset your remote?

I looked in the manual for the code for my TV but the code did'nt work.

to program the TV code in?


press and hold the directTV button and enter the code when you done entering it let up on the directTV bot ton up and if it flashes 4 times you got it right if not try it again

The TV is the same way or to reset everything like no code in what so ever remove the batteries count 10 and put them back in then reprogram and see if it works in not try new batteries and then reprogram and it should work mine did as a last effort.
