Um that's pretty traditional. The whole "against the friends" scandal has been around for ages, you should do it if for nothing else then the ensuing drama. Besides, a ton of preppy girls are attracted to the skaters and punks because of the contrast and edgy-ness. Don't get too excited, he's wetting himself at the thought of getting it in with the preppy girls.
