If you're asking why people choose certain religions, depending on the area it may be because of cultural beliefs. Predominantly Arab regions typically follow Islam, Asians typically follow Buddha or Islam, Americans typically follow Christianity. This is not always the case in these areas, nor is it a stereotype. There are Arabs, Asians etc that do follow Christianity, as well as Americans that follow Islam.
Following a particular form of religion may also have to do with parental influences, and personal choices. There are many factors that can lead a person to a certain religion. Each is convinced that it is the right one.

I think she is asking what makes us convey the message of our believes like what we do here.

I am personally not here to convey the message of Islam like many others from different religions (including Muslims) do but trying to remove the misconceptions against Islam. There are many liars and crooks with nothing but fueling hate among others so they can make some money on the side.

Nothing bothers me if one worships anything according to his/her holy scripture but if I have the knowledge of his religion and see him following the opposite of his religion then it is my job as a Muslim to show him what his scripture says.

There are many Religions in this World.

1-Some of them are given by God Himself (like islam)
2- Some are Made by Man

And Most of people trust the first type cuz it came with
a proof like

1-A messenger (Prophet)
2-A holly book like Quran and Bible

And that to proof :

1-god's existance
2-he is the only god of the
whole universe

The holly book :

Contains the rules of the religion
It talks about mans life and end with alot of details
But It contains only information that god wants us to know
and no 1 but only god know more than what was written in it.

Muslims are not supposed to convert
non muslims to muslims

cuz Quran talked about that
saying something like

Muslims got thier own religion

and non muslims got olso thier own religion

and no one will be forced to be muslim

I think you mean "convert"?

People convert to other religions because they might feel a deep spiritual connection with that religion than their own. My family is Christan (Baptist and Roman Catholic to be exact, eek.) but I have never felt that connection with their God especially when I was forced to go when I was little. I'm currently more or less an agnostic person but, if I wanted to, I would probably convert to Buddhism.

The main factor in determining a person's faith is what faith they were brought up as, by their parents. Likewise, many stick to the same religion as their parents, because they are taught not to believe anything else, or risk being punished. Some who choose to convert to other faiths, from the one they were brought up as, tend to feel secluded from the family, because most of their family would not support their actions.

I myself, have parents who are Muslim. They gave me a choice of religion, when I was old enough to read and understand books of faiths (about age 11). They let me choose which religion most appealed to me, and I read every book (Torah, Bible, Quran, Vedas, writtings on the Catvary Aryasatyani, Dao De Jing, Wiccanism, Shaminism, and even books on Atheism) and with an open mind, with no influences from friends or family. I decided to choose Islam on my own, because the core principles of Islam taught to love youself, your family, and even people of others faith. In essence, it teaches that peace, education (wisdom, knowledge), and love are the best things that God favors in man. Not only that, but it teaches that religion there is no compulsion in religion, meaning that no one can be forced into a religion against their will. You choose to enter and find your faith on your own will. You don't have to be a Muslim to go to heaven, you don't have to be a Christian to go to heaven, and you don't even have to be a Jew. As long as you can love your fellow man, and do good deeds, you are one of the saved. Salaam.

I think you mean "convert" not convey. I think people should not convert, they should accept ideas from everywhere. If they cannot do that they should be happy with what they are instead of trying to convert others.

I am a Christian. I try to convey the love of Christ to others (in obedience to the teachings of Jesus Christ).

I used to be an atheist. Over a period of time however, I grew convinced of the existence of the Christian God, and ultimately committed my life to Christ (e.g., see http://www.godsci.org/gs/chri/testimony/seek.html ).

Cordially,
John
