Yes, pay the ticket. All but 2 states belong to what is called the interstate compact. If you get a ticket in another state, they will let your home state know that you didnt pay the ticket. Your license will be suspended and a warrant will be issued for your arrest. Granted the warrant would not be extraditable for a speeding ticket. However, if you ever passed through that area again and contact with law enforcement you would go to jail for that warrant. Then after that is all overwith, you can go back to your home state and try to get your license reinstated.

Good luck, but pay the ticket. If it had already gone past your court date, they you can bet a warrant has already been issued.

Yes, you do. The other state will still put out a bench warrant for your arrest. On the back of the ticket, there should be information on how to pay the ticket if you live in a different state; possibly even an address to mail the payment to. Do you really wanted to be arrested for not paying a speeding ticket?

You should pay it.

Indiana Law

FAILURE TO APPEAR OR TO PAY FOR TRAFFIC OFFENSES
Failing to respond to the issuance of a citation by a law enforcement officer for speeding
or other offenses or not paying for tickets after a judgment has been entered will lead to the
suspension of your driving privileges. Upon receipt of a certification from a court that a person
has not appeared or paid for a traffic offense, the BMV is required to suspend that person’s
driving privileges. The suspension is indefinite and ends only when the person has either
appeared or paid for the offense, and provides proof of disposition to the BMV.

Nope in no way. in reality, in case you had a warrant out on your arrest for failure to pay rushing tickets, you'll nevertheless be allowed to pass the border because highway patrol does no longer fall below federal jurisdiction (in Canada or america of a). How do i comprehend this? I had a warrant out for my arrest contained in the State of Washington because i did not pay my rushing cost ticket I were given there many years in the past. in view that then I actually have crossed the border 6 cases and not in any respect in straight forward words that.. I actually have inquired about the problem on the border two times. the in straight forward words aspect that could want to ensue is in case you ever get stuck using in that state/province (which skill you'll really ought to get pulled once extra) they could arrest you. Realistically notwithstanding they gained't even try this they'd purely make you pay. police officials have alot extra to address than rushing tickets. So in any case, they gained't do something to you and would likely laugh in case you even presented it up (like they did to me.. lol as I had a warrant out for my arrest of their usa).

If you don't pay it, eventually you will recieve a notice that your license is suspended.

I once forgot to pay a PARKING ticket in another state, then 8 MONTHS LATER, got "pulled" for speeding; come to find out my license had been suspended for that stupid $15 parking ticket. Cost altogether: $350

LESSON: PAY THE FINE! AND DON'T FORGET!

Yes if you don't want to be arrested and perhaps have your illinois licence revolked.

they are all connected now a days by this wonderful machine called a computer, it is a wild concept, and I don't think it will catch on, but a person in one state enters your info and it is available anywhere.

But seriously, if you don't pay it, they will issue a warrant for your arrest for not appearing in court.

YES!

I made this mistake once. Most states communicate with one another about unpaid tickets/unanswered summons. If you don't pay up, your driver's license will probably be suspended.

Fun fact:

Ontario and Quebec also communicate with several American states, including--painfully for me--New York.

Yes you do. I don't know which states, but they are most of them that have a thing called a "compact aggreement". The states can report over to the other state where your drivers license was from to have them suspend the license.

yes. lucky for you they didn't arrest you cuz in my state, if they are going to give you a ticket and you not from here, we just arrest you until you serve your time or can post bail.

Oh and in case you don't pay that ticket you got...it becomes a warrant for your arrest no matter what state you were in...
