Exactly!
It happened with so many times that people whom I liked most misread me. It hurt me a lot. I have now stopped admiring people.
Actually, in my view, it is considered 'childish' or 'immature' by people if you admire them beyond a 'limit'. Obviously this 'limit' diifers with every individual. They are certainly scared of being admired. May be inferiority complexes are in the play! Or people are so selfish that they think this guy wants 'something' from me or my loved ones. Have you ever heard of confidence tricksters!
One cant do anything other than being hurt. But once they come to know of your sincerity they don't even care to apologize.
On the other hand, people who 'understand' this kinda behaviour are not taken seriously by those important people and opinion makers. Isn't it?
It sucks, really.
So c'mon and ignore it. This is the only correct response.

I believe lack of communication causes this. Our lack of vocabulary to explain what we want to say, unwillingness to communicate, and not say what you really want to say causes misjudging also. Communication skills can always be improved and there are many classes for us today in this area. Being assertive is very important without being aggressive and sometimes we become overly zealous and sound different than what we want to sound. That again is miscommunication. Sometimes people so want the people they admire to like them that they won't tell the truth and it is apparent to the receiver of information that it is deception which can cause misjudging. Strive for clarity of your ideas so others can accurately get what you are saying.

more times than not when we admire a person, we want to impress them because we want them to admire us back, it probably comes off a little strong to that person, maybe even a little flashy, or perhaps bossy and possesive at times as they can only read your intentions from actions and words actually spoken not whats encripted on your heart
