We're in this world to worship God - and to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ, to love our neighbors as we love ourselves (not narcissistic and materially), to watch over the earth and the things of the earth.

We are in this world to learn life lessons; lessons of the soul/spirit. But we often forget that there are billions of other people here doing the same thing. We are so quick to step over (or ON) someone who has fallen rather than lend a helping hand.

No and it would be a true shame if we decided to think that we were placed here for that purpose. God has a bigger and better plan for our lives and in serving Him and loving Him we find it.

Its only a selfish world when everyone lives for themselves. So as long as there are people willing to not be selfish and give of themselves, those who don't will be the bad guys.

It's more shameful to be so self centered we could care less about our fellow man. This society thinks everything is owed to them - all the trinkets, toys and glittering things.

We are here because there was sin. But this place is really not meant for us. God has His perfect plans and we fall short that's why we're here. He loves us so much and has a better place for us when we die.
