My uncle ran a nail through his finder with a electric nail-gun. He got a tetanus shot 30 years ago. Does he need to go in to get a tetanus booster?

The CDC reccoemds in place of just the tetanus shot that adults and adolscents now get the Pertussis booster shot its called tdap it has the tetanus portion in it as well. It would be a good idea as they are reccomending all adults and adolscents receive the booster and it helps protect everyone as Pertussis is very dangerous and can be deadly to infants.

A booster after 30 yrs is like a first dose.Electric guns are not the sourcess of tetanus.
He needs an ATS if at all.

Yes, most people think it's only if you get stabbed with something rusty. It's if something is dirty, bacteria in the dirt is some nasty stuff. And I suppose, since things that are rusty are usually also dirty, that's why people don't get the shots when they need to.
