Umm, Actually, Gnosticism was an early church sect.
They believed in a way that was Way more involved that simply " knowing the mind of God"

I believe in an All Loving God becoz He is a God of Love. Jesus lead a life that was perfect, He calls us to strive for perfection...so I am learning from Him to be more like Him. But as for me being here, well it's so that I can experience the relationship of an All Loving God in my life and the relationship of others.
I saw your answer from another question which basically said that you don't believe in the Devil...why not?
Based on this belief does a non-repentant murder get the same privilages as a Gnostic Christian in the afterlife?

Gnostic Christianity was severely depressed by the church in the 2nd and 3rd centuries...the reason being that their 'theology' didn't fit wiht the bibles theme of salvation throught the messiah (Jesus Christ) they believe we need to aquire hidden knowledge to save ourselves..my belief is that our sin and mortality will never be enough to save ourselves...we need Jesus Christ as lord and savior..cus we aren't good enough

I am not. I believe in the Bible and the Gospels as were written over thousands of years ago and are STILL current- Old and New Testament. Amen. Praise Jesus!
