I am working on I story, and I was wondering.... How do you ladies think it would go over if a man proposed to his girlfriend on her birthday?

Q, what if her b-day IS Feb. 29? Would it work then? Cuz that actually sounds like a cool idea to me... thank you

Cliche! Be more creative! How about your birthday? You wanted the best present ever! But it would suck if she said, "No!"

How about February 29th? That would be a really special day, quite unique, I would think.

Good luck with your story!

Additional - Why a birthday? A lot of people have very passionate feelings about birthdays; some want to take a week to celebrate them and others would rather crawl under a rock than celebrate one. There's enough drama on birthdays without having to add a marriage proposal on top of that. For most women, being proposed to is one of the most important events of their lives so I would imagine they wouldn't anything else interfering with that. I'm raking my brain for something more unique. When I get a lightbulb, you'll be the first to know. In the mean time, keep checking this same bat place (alas, no bat time - I type when I can). But if you like the idea of using Feb. 29 as her b-day and for a proposal, feel free to use it with my compliments.

If the relationship was strong and it seemed like both felt equally in love with each other, then it would probably go over well. Otherwise, it might ruin her birthday.
