their was a time when every Saudi citizen was given $20,000 a year just for being a citizen. the religious zealots used that money to try and overthrow the royal family. they wanted to make a theocracy out of there country. no Bush should not try to make Saudi Arabia a democracy. the royal family does deal with there extremist population severely but if you are not a terrorist you have nothing to worry about.

although there seems an instantaneous correlation between Democracy and freedom it really is not unavoidably so. The Palestinians in Gaza lately had democratic elections and voted in a terrorist team. it really is really probably that non secular extremist communities will be elected into Afghanistan and Iraq. at present the Monarchy in Saudi Arabia is a minimum of partly conserving the non secular extremists in verify. i have self belief there's a superb probability they'd be elected if there have been democratic elections. finally ensuing in a theocracy.

Bush and his whole family have had close friendly ties to the Saudi royal family for forty years. The Bush family has made money through these ties. It's hardly likely that he would endanger this.

It has little to do with politics and much to do with greed. Scruples lose out to some people when money is involved.

Its true, the country is ruled by a king who uses islamic law to rule his people. However, He is not killing non muslims, nor is he torturing people for the hell of it, He also is not killing people of another muslim faction like what is happening in Iraq, Iran, and Afghanistan There are no militants trying to overthrow his government
