What the hell...did he not get told they are real? I mean...unless you like it then. He must have a fetish on biting nipples then. If you don't like it tell him, if he hurts you...GET AWAY FROM HIM.
Some men like that...but the woman has to as well. Don't stay with him if he keeps doing it, and or if you tell him to stop and he doesn't.

DId he do that while you'll were having sex.. or just in the middle of some discussion while you had your clothes on?
If it is while having sex, its probably because he thinks it'll turn you on as well.. and there's the freudian touch to it.. most males never seem to get enough of ****, especially Indians.
You should tell him.. and do the same to him.. he will realise how it feels.. and if it puts you off.. then be straight with him.. tell him how you'd like it.
But I know women who like that once in a while.. so nothing worng with it..
