Are women aware they are easily subjected to, "How you doin'?"?

Sometimes I use the phrase coined by the Friends character Joey, "How you doin'?" Surprisingly enough, this works more often than it should. How many of you women out there are aware that this can easily sway you? How many men out there use this? I know I've ruined it for men seeking the Yahoo! Answers regular women, oh well.

Hmm, mistake with that... anyhow I'm 21 and it's not my only line. I was out with some friends and we decided that it was worth at least a bet of how many girls we could get with different lines, such as "Excuse me, I'd hate to be so intrusive, but is your father a thief? Cause it looks like.." yada yada yada. I was merely asking why out of 100 or so women I've used it on (ages 18-25) this was incredibly effective. Over 85% responded with a flirt and about 70% parted with their numbers. Unfortunately a few were fake, but in any dating numbers game you'll come across that. I was just inquiring about how something like this cheesy line was the absolute best at picking up women, and something like "Hey, you look like you don't look like the drinking and partying type, what're you interested in?" was effective only a third of the time (I suppose maybe the other two thirds were actually drinking and partying, but whatever)

Hey man look if it actually works than I say use it, add it to your arsenal my friend. But where I'm am that **** will not fly I'm sorry. If your wondering I am in the city of Detroit and here you'll need more than "How you doin'?". I'm surprised you slipped it past a number of women but I'm telling you that it won't be easy here. You'll need the looks, smarts, rep, and you must be able to back up the things you say, and a personality. If you don't have any of that then you won't be getting any type of girl. You use a popular line to get the girls then that is good my man...just don't rely too much on it.

Ya know, I was going to answer this but, it's too stupid! Dumb line, never needed it. Why do you need a LINE? Can't be honest? Just plain old don't know what to say so you use a TV line?

This is such a "coined" phrase, that I respond with one, just as coined. "Well, thank you", & he's outta my life. No originality, and absolutely no "swaying" this redneck girl. Been around the ranch a few times, takes more than a pretty face or pretty words.

I think of Joey when I hear it. Someone said it to me yesturday and I laughed at them. I wouldn't try to use it to pick up a girl
