A petition to God. It can be a request, praise, a question, a one-way conversation, or all of the above. God is supposed be the one that is always there, even when all others are not, but he does not hear all prayers, especially those from people who do whatever they want.

Prayer is talking to divinity whereas meditation is listening to divinity. Both are necessary for a relationship with divinity.

Prayer is the form of communication with God (or whomever you communicate with). It allows you to be grateful to Him or to ask for his blessing, mostly to not forget Him in your daily life.

For me prayer is looking at people's faces when they close they close their eyes or pretend to close their eyes.

people pray for things they need and things they want. but it's better to just pray for the things you need because that way, the things you want will follow if you are a humble human being
