Depends on how much you weigh, any medications you're on, any drugs you're doing, how high your tolerance is, what you've eaten, and how fast you're drinking.
Also, if you're drinking 100 proof vs. 80 proof makes a difference. If you're taking shots, mixing it, or drinking martinis makes a difference. One ounce of 100 proof equals one shot of 80 proof equals one standard beer. And, it's less calories than beer so you don't fill up so quickly.
The fastest way to get it into your body is this: get vanilla vodka (or some other flavor you like) and mix it with Coke or something carbonated. You don't taste it much (vodka has little flavor and mixes VERY well with anything), you can almost chug it, and if it's better quality stuff (like Stolichnaya), your hangovers won't be so bad.

it usually kicks in straight away ....depends on how fast you drink your vodka
if your having orange juice with it you cant really taste it so you end up pouring your glass stronger and stronger ..lol
WARNING: do not drink a whole bottle of vodka to yourself within within a small period of time major headspin double visions and major hungover in morning ....from experience .... unfortunately
LOL :D 'cheers
