I've been to both. Disneyland is better because, being the original, it has the heart and you can really feel it. DW is so big that it feels like nothing more than a tourist destination, which is still fun, but I prefer the one with heart.

In almost all cases, the attractions at Disneyland are better than the same one at DW. DW wins for their Tower of Terror, but all other duplicate attractions are much better at Disneyland. DW has the worst stage shows, they should be ashamed. See Fantasmic at Disneyland for sure. Don't bother seeing ANY shows at DW with the exception of the Lion King show at Animal Kingdom.

The Magic Kingdom at Disneyworld IS Disneyland except with a more beneficial fortress. the in straightforward words ingredient Disneyland has that Disneyworld would not is the CA Adeventure topic Park, it really is really puffed up. Disneyworld is thoroughly diverse b/c it really is about the dimensions of Paris or SF and the vehicle parking zone on the Magic Kingdom can extra wholesome Disneyland in it. Plus there are a large number of topic parks and water parks, golfing classes, ect..interior Disneyworld. Disneyland is surrounded through suburban Orange County sprawl. you're literally not likely to ascertain some thing diverse at Disneyland once you've been to the Magic Kingdon at Disneyworld, they're the very similar. yet there are a ton of alternative issues to ascertain and visit contained in the section. There are different topic parks like Knotts Berry Farms, Six Flags Magic Mountain, wide-spread Studios, Hollywood, Santa Monica,ect.. San Diego is a merely short stress south of Disneyland and there is SeaWorld, SD Zoo, and the Wild Animal Park plus SD has a number of the excellent seashores in CA. there's a lot to do in Southern CA besides Disneyland,

It depends...

Disneyworld is very much an insular, safe, self-contained sort of experience (Orlando isn't that interesting by itself). You could spend an entire week there and barely see "Florida" at all. It has more theme parks (4 Main Parks+ Downtown Disney + 2 Waterparks + large resort area) than Disneyland and more amenities, especially for the children. So if you want to have a "Disney only" big family vacation, and make it all about the Mouse, Disneyworld wins hands down.

In contrast, Disneyland's theme parks (2 Main Parks + Downtown Disney) needs to be taken as a part of a more expansive California vacation. It's not a destination in and of itself, and in fact sits right in the middle of an urban area. Disneyland benefits from it's location (it's closer to the beach, has better nightlife for adults, and the non-Disney cultural attractions of Los Angeles is nearby). As part of a varied vacation or for smaller families/couples, Disneyland is great.

I live 20 minutes from Disneyland, and I say Disneyworld because there is much more to do, you can go for 2 weeks and still not see everything. Disneyland is good if you dont have a lot of time, but California Adventure kind of sucks although they are trying to improve it.

That's a tough one. I can't honestly say one is better than the other. They each have perks and downfalls. Disneyland in CA is the original and you just feel that old Disney charm when you are there. The pirates ride is better there than at Disney World (more drops... in Florida, they can't dig too deep because they hit the water table), the Tiki Room show is better and many other things.

Disney World, however, is huge! There is so much more to see and do. Splash Mountain is a longer, better ride, they have the countries at EPCOT and Animal Kingdom, MGM, and other attractions such as water parks and Disney Quest. I say visit both! :)

While I live in Southern California and grew up with Disneyland, Disney World is the best hands down. There is just so much more to see, do, and experience. I especially enjoy Epcot because in talking with one of the cast members, Disney actually recruits people from the countries represented at Epcot such as Italy, Germany, Japan, France, etc. so as to maintain the culture, language, and customs for each country's themed environment. Plus you have Downtown Disney and Pleasure Island, there is no way to take it all in during one visit. Just remember it is very hot and humid in Orlando during this time of year.

p.s. If or when you go there you must go on the ride space mountain. it a huge rollar coaster in a building and your dark with stars to make it seem like your in space. hte best part about it is that you cant see where you are going. It doesnt go upside down thats why i love it! I seriosly thought i was in space?!!!
