Hello! I noticed that some independent stores here in the Philippines are selling overruns of high fashion brands like Marc Jacobs, Diane Von Furstenberg, Anna Sui and BCBG items at rock bottom prices. The items are current. In fact, if you check the brand's official website, you will find the exact same things. I heard that these items come from Hongkong. Where exactly in Hongkong can I find these overruns?

Hi, in Hong Kong, you do get the genuine stuff, along with the fakes. Some of the designer labels do have factories in Hong Kong making for them, so possibility of factory overruns being sold is there, just that it may not be sold within Hong Kong. So if you find such labels and feel the quality is good in term of material and workmanship, chances are you have a good bargain on hand.

The key is to know where to shop in Hong Kong. The high end shops will carry the originals. The road side stalls are likely to be fakes. So if you are looking for quality branded bargains, head along the main streets of Nathan and Jordan. Also check in the shopping malls around the place. Hong Kong Annual Sales starts now till next month and you do get the real stuff at discounts up to 70% even in the specialty stores. That is why this period is one of the better time to be in Hong Kong. If you are into shopping. Have fun.

They're counterfeit items. A designer label brand will NEVER sell overruns of their product at rock bottom prices, as this will ruin their companies prestige and luxury image. They would rather destroy it then to sell it for cheap.
