Hit your Ctrl, Alt, and Delete buttons -- all 3 at the same time -- to start the task manager (you may have to click the task manager button to start it).
If you are saying your task manager has been disabled by a virus or by an administrator, then the following should work:
Click Start, Run and type this command exactly as given below: (Copy and paste)
REG add HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System /v DisableTaskMgr /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f

U can press ctrl+alt+del keys at the same time in XP so that the task manager may be enabled
