i was riding with my father in his car, and we seen this guy in a wheelchair by a bus stop and i started thinking maybe i should help him, so by the time i made the decision i was already home, so i walked back to the bus stop and seen him stuck on some rocks and i helped him out and asked him if i could help him and i pushed him about 2 miles on his way home it was by mine also and he said that he could do it the rest of the way, so i let him go and i headed home, i didnt want my mom to worry it was about 11 40 at night and i assumed he had done it before, considering hes been in there all his life as he said, i wonder what god thinks about these acts that we do??. i didnt just do it for god, i felt like i had to do it, and i wouldnt even be able to sleep if i didnt at least try and do something. What does this mean. maybe it doesnt mean anything. i just want to get some opions by some christians that have maybe done the same thing. This isnt the only good thing ive ever done either.

Good for you for helping that man out... i am a christian and i believe that God puts opportunities in our lives to show his love. Everyone knows the famous WWJD... well sounds like you felt that today. Jesus told us to live and act like he did to show his love to others and that is what you did. It is the Holy Spirit in us they tells us what is right.... again good job for helping him. God Bless you. And i pray he puts other chances to show his love in your life.

When you have that "urge", it's called being under conviction by the Holy Spirit - and that is a wonderful thing! God gives us these opportunities to see if we are truly listening to him or not. They are the treasures that are stored up in heaven where rust nor moths can get to them. Sometimes you will know that a good deed must be done and kept silent, this is when you know your alms are not to be done before man, but God alone. However, to share this awesome story of your awareness, is not to have lost any treasure in heaven, but to show the many on this category, that there are people who are doing good things all the time. You keep listening to the Holy Spirit and you will keep doing good things - just keep giving God the glory for giving you the opportunities and you'll be one very happy young man. Lord, thank you for one who is listening and doing. Amen.

dont bother too much about trying to please some super natural being, it's all about being a nice person. Let's forget jesus and all the christian teachings, dont you think it felt good to help the guy? did you need jesus to judge you and tell you it was a good deed?no, we humans have the will and the wisdom to know what is right and wrong. we dont need some ancient fairy tale book and the laws of some unseen super being to judge us what is right or wrong, we do good things out of the good human nature. It is the millions of years of evolution that enabled us to be able to differentiate whats good and bad. It is also this evolution that enabled us to have a free mind to think what is good or bad without any gospel or commandment. The law of nature is just, what good you do today, the same good will come to you later, in this lifetime or the next. That is the nature of karma. That is why Buddhism is a beautiful "religion".

GOD will use us, both Christian and non Christian to get done what he needs done.

IF you felt compelled to do this deed, than take it at face value, you were led to do this.

If you are not yet a Christian, look into it and study what it is. IT is not a certain church or way of worship. IT is the belief in GOD and all that he has done, all that he will do, and all that he is doing.

If you are an active Christian , God is just giving you work to do, praise him for using you!!

It means that you are a beautiful and good hearted person. A selfless act such as that, as long as it comes from the heart will deffinately be rewarded. It just depends on your own belief system, whether it is here or in another life, your good hearted personality will be generously rewarded. Keep it up. This world needs more beautiful people like you.

you're a good samaritan. god bless you. :-)
you did something that you knew was good for people, even though you worried some people. but that doesnt matter because i wanted to help some hobos in la that didnt smoke or do drugs. but my mom said not to because theyre weird. so a few days later there was this hobo, and i was home with my dad. my dad took a can and i watched him. he gave the can to the guy outside and went back inside. i was with my dad and i was smiling at him. when my mom came home i told her what happened. my mom got mad at me. if you think clearly you will see something good i did in there.

Thank God you even felt like you had to do it which shows the shred of compassion in your heart. Your task was completed. the scriptures say, when i was hungry you fed me, when i was in prison you visited me. i believe this includes, when i needed help, you helped me. I've done something similar where i saw a man by a bridge looking homeless. it was a very hot day. passed him, went home to get some ice water and fruit, brought it back and gave it to him, he thanked me and i went on. was going back to check on him and he had disappeared! totally disappeared. the scripture about helping angels unawares came up. i often think I'll see this angel in heaven.

If you had justkept quiet about it, God would have known it was simply helping someone in need, which is waht christians are supposed to do every day. But once you start bragging and looking for recognition, that just makes you aloser.
