There was a mexican guy at our firework show tonight. He can not speak but a couple sentences of Spanish and I can only speak basic Spanish things. But we managed to talk a few sentences here and there (after I thought very hard about each word lol). Then he was on his phone for like 30 mintues talking in spanish and eventually got off and handed me a peice of paper with his phone number on it. He seemed like a nice guy. So when he pointed to the paper and pen (asking for mine) I decided it couldn't do any harm... Should I have done that? And what kind of phone convo will we be able to have lol. There is one more thing... he is 24 and I am only 17. Oops? (BTW finding out eachothers ages took awhile too)

Don't worry, we all do these spur of the moment things...which are sometimes stupid. See how your first convo goes...wait for him to call you..and if it feels too awkward then just ignore him...he will go away eventually. Plus the age diff is pretty significant, you should be wondering why he can't find a girl his own age!?!

He is alot older then you. I really dont think you should start a relationship now. But there isnt anything wrong with getting to know one another. Try to talk to him on the phone... who knows.. maybe years from now you two can look back at this and laugh :)

talking to a 17 if you are 24 isn't illegal, we would never get to talk to our children if it was. and some gurls are very mature at that age, but the language barrier may pose a problem, you may have to speak the international language of love. lol

Unless you learn Spanish real fast or he learns English, I don't think it was a good idea. I can't understand why you'd give your number to someone you can't communicate with.
