If you are into thrillers with a slight horror feel, try Frank Peretti, such as The Oath, and others. The Visitor is good, it has more of a psychologic thriller feel, its about a guy who comes to a small town claiming to be Jesus and he does a lot of miracles and such. He's real good and manages to make somewhat horror style books have good morals.
These are slightly more adult books, so it depends what age of teen you are talking about. He has a young adult series for younger teens, but I haven't read any of those.

I like the Left Behind series, even tho I'm not Christian. And they made a teen series out of it. Just google Left Behind and it should be on their official website.

I don't read novels, too little time.

Right now though I am reading a fantastic book called "Hope Rising" by Kim Meeder.

She and her husband run the Crystal Peaks Youth Ranch in Central Oregon, and have won the Jefferson Award in 2000.

She shares many awesome stories from their ranch, True stories of restoration, hope, and love, as they rescue abused horses, rehabilitate them and then use them to restore young people who have been "battered" from the storms of life. She has a new one coming out in August from what I read on their website.

You'll laugh, cry, and pray as you really feel as though you are there....

I would say Hawthorne Heights for a teen girl. Not so sure on what to give for a teen boy.

I know it was written many moons ago, but it is still relevant for todays young women. Especially about choosing a mate and why.

I love the Left Behind series, they are really good, and they have the kids and adult series. Both are equally good, I can't choose the best.
