Is there anyone out there who can help? I have really long fine hair, all one length, down to small of my back. All I can do with it is twist it up and clip! **UGH** I'm so tired of this boring hair, I don't want to cut it though. Can anyone give me some good step by step instruction on some of the really cute updos I see this summer?

First off, you should use some volumizing and thickening shampoo and conditioner. I suggest Garnier Fructis. They also have an after-shower volumizing and thickening leave-in conditioner. Then (This might take a while, but if your desperate it will be worth it. Also you'll get faster at it the more you do it.), while blow-drying your hair, use a giant round brush -- get it all the way under your hair near the roots -- and push up and out while the dryer is blowing over it. This will give your hair more volume and will make it look thicker. It will also give you a great style for wearing your hair down. Also, before you blow dry it, expiriment with different parts, try one off to the side, etc. Another really really cute thing is once your hair is dry, take your thumb and first finger and right in the front center and pull it back like a little pony tail. Then put in a clip or wrap a ponytail around it a bunch of times. This is a really cute summer look. I would also suggest trying a high-ish ponytail. Not too high so you look like... well... use your imagination. It is too high if you can look in the mirror and see more than half of the base of the ponytail. Okay, so start out by using the right ponytail holder. Use the ticker elastic kind that have no metal part on them. You can start out the same way as before but don't blow dry your hair until it is all the way dry, just until it is a little damp. You can lean off the end of your bed lying down with your head off the end. You can put it farther off the end for a higher ponytail, and the opposite. So, lean off the edge and grab your hair into a pony. Then using a big brush with plastic bristles (i use a conair brush or a goodies brush which you can both get at a local drug store, but any kind works) brush over the top into your hand. Also just try a messy bun. Pull your hair up like you were going to do a ponytail, wrap the hair band around but dont pull you pony tail all the way through. Leave it half way, then twist your hand around so you can pull the part that is hanging out of the bottom up, and pull it on top. Then just wrap the elastic around a few more times. It will probably take you a few tries to get it right. Ok that's all for now! Hope it works. : )

Well, you can always do braids. They're pretty. You can also have a messy bun, a side ponytail, half up and half down look, curl it! (I have curly hair and it's very fun to do), if you have bangs you could pin those straight back like Lauren on Laguna Beach does a lot, you can buy a really fun and cute headband and wear your hair back like that, you could do two braids (one on each side) and braid your hair about an inch before your ear and put an elastic right at the end so your hair isn't all braided, and you can even leave your hair long and pin up both the right and left side with some bobby pins. Just have fun with it!

Umm... frankly, you need to get a hair cut. Such long hair gives almost-zero styling flexibility. Plus, it's not layered, so not too many chances of experimenting with it. And as for the really cute updos this summer, they work only if you have the right length, which you don't. There's very little you can do.

Make your up-do fun by adding a summery and tropical-looking silk flower hair clip! You can go big with a 4inch one for a party or casual, everyday with a smaller hair clip.
I love the ones at Breezy Beach Wear (www.breezybeachwear.com)

Give that a try.

Well, the hair style that your avatar is wearing looks great...

Or you can always take that swoop and put a bunch of Shirley Temple like curls in your head..You don't have to use hot curls all you need is a little gel, moose and rod curlers. That would also look nice.

hair into 2 sections.
wrap/twist each section to the left.
then wrap/twist those sections around each other with left over right (opposite direction of the first twist). wrap ponytail holder around ends.

looks super cool when done upside down (with twists on the top of the head - when you stand up they will fall a bit to the back).

ok.
You can always do braids
you know, right?
You can put your hair in a messy pony tail
You can also make a crown!-
You grab some of the hair right on top of your head and make it fluffy. Then you leave it ther with a clip holding it up.

you have to apply oil every three days to your scalp and leave it on over night or at least for five hours on your head before you shampoo it. and always use conditioner. But remember one thing you must use normal ordinary soap once a month to wash your hair. see that the soap has no moisturisers or anything.
