Sweetie that is a rhetorical question, right? I mean you are asking the wrong people. You just can't stop loving smeone. Stop assuming as well. Have you asked him if he loves you the same with as much affection? Seriously, if he doesn't yet. Give him time. You are getting to serious. Don't pressure him and you will see that in time he will love you like heaven! Good luck :) and don't give up on love cause of pure assumptions or impatience! That is what the world needs now, love!

Cut him out of your life, cold turkey. You must start a new routine. Surround yourself with friends and family everyday. Work. Party. Get a new do. Get a Pet. Find a hobby. Read books. Bottomline: Fill up your time with something, someone, anything other than him, so that you don't falter and go back to(or think about) someone who is not good for you (not to mention a waste of time).
All that said: Easier said than done. Good Luck.
LOVE and be LOVED in return. You deserve it.

Gosh, I've been stuck in that situation and it's the WORST! I finally got the courage up to leave him... I spent 3 years with a man who didn't love me, and I was so in love with him that I would have done anything. Now, I'm very happy in a new relationship with a man who DOES return my love. If the feelings aren't reciprocated, you have to get out and try to find a relationship where you will be appreciated and valued like you deserve.

You can see other people, spend more time with your friends, join a club, start jogging, get a dog... love is not an easy thing to stop. Some people you always love regardless... just give yourself some space from him and give your heart time...

I know how you feel. I feel as if I'm in the same boat as you. What you can do is don't tell him you love him until he says it first, and when you are together try not to think about how he feels about you and enjoy the monment for it wont last long. Have fun

fancy, thats an insane question, you dont stop love, but what you need to base you love on is a mutual love that someone has to offer. how do you not let yourself love him more???? your gonna get hurt , remeber that. there is a guy out there wanting to love you so badly and return the love you so badly want to give him.

First of all, if you love him you need to approach him and make him aware. If he turns you down, then you just saved yourself a lot of grief and you should move on. Don't try "not love him more" because it just doesn't work. Face the reality and move on.

Start distancing yourself from him. Spend less time with him, take less calls from his, don't be so readily available to him, see other people, spend time with other friends, do the things you enjoy doing by yourself, read books, write in a journal, love yourself more...
