Hey ignore everyone else on the issue,,I'm pretty sure if you boil the water on the stove, that way it's steaming hot before you place it in the crockpot, then you could add your corn..corn should cook ok, i'd try this at home first if I was you though. Also here's a tip while your waiting on the the water to boil i'd turn that crock pot on high that way it's hot before you stick the corn and water in..may want to stick the corn in the pot first then add your water,,if not you could have a mess..

Don't cook corn on the cob in a crock pot.
Take a large regular pot, add water, some salt and the corn.
Cooked uncovered, over high heat, for about 10 to12 minutes, after the water has begun to boil.
That's all there is to it.
Never cook corn on the cob slowly. The faster you cook it the more sweetness and flavor, the corn will maintain.

No do not cook it in a crockpot. Crockpot cooking is too slow, it will turn the corn an awful starchy flavor and it will not be crisp it will become all chewy and gross. Boil it in water for 5 minutes and serve.

No it will get chewy and yucky. The best way to cook corn is to steam it. Put it in 2 inches of water with a plate on the bottom of the pan (to keep the corn out of the water) and steam it at a full boil for 3 minutes. Slather in butter and salt and enjoy!

NO!! Just get a large pot of water and bring it to a boil. Add the corn and boil for 5 mins and remove. Do not cover. That's all there is to it.

Yep I'd skip the crock pot, but you might be able to boil it on the oven before you get to work (just takes a few minutes once the water is boiling) and then reheat it in the microwave or something when you get to work.

I guess you could. But crock pots are best for something that cooks for a long time. Corn cooks pretty quickly.

I'm not sure that is the best way but as long as you put water into the crockpot it must work.

i think the best way to go would be to either grill the corn on the cob or boil it.
