the West will hopefully win this war on Islamic fascism, but if we give in like Spain did to Al-qaida in Madrid and pulled their troops out of Iraq(what Al-qaida successfully planned) then we're in trouble. Peace will not end the war. Peace to them is a world of Islam just like peace to the soviet communist is a world or communism. WAKE UP PEOPLE!

Lol, since 9/11 most Jihadist attacks on North American and European targets have come from North American and European residents and citizens themselves. The "clash of cultures" was just a marketing slogan to get both sides pumped up.

Win what? The hearts and mnds of the gullible masses? I think if you base the reward on a gift of virgins rather than an eternity sitting in Heaven at he right hand of God, you might have an edge. Of course, in either case, you have to die first. So, I think Mormanism might wn, because you get the virgins while you're still alive. Even the gullible masses can figure that one out.

In this case there are only degrees of losing. With this said there are elements within both Islam and Western Civilization that are worth saving. Hopefully they will not destroy what is good in the process of trying to destroy each other.

To be honest, I think one will cancel the other out, much like matter and anti-matter. Don't forget there's more out there aside from jihadists...seems other countries are out there launching missiles and what have you that could very well contribute to the total and seemingly inevitable self distruction of modern civilization.

Unfortunately many humans have been brainwashed to believe in the myths of Christian God and Muslim Allah that they are willing to kill and be killed by the power of these myths and fear.

From the Spanish, Roman, Portuguese, Inquisitions that murdered millions of innocents in the name of Christian GOD to present day corrupt conversions of ignorant ppl the Catholic church and the Popes have been behind the atrocities since day 1. Similarly in the name of ALLAH war and murder and beheading were/are done to this day. Cruelty and hatred is practiced by extremists of both groups.

It's about time humans learn tolerance and love.

Sadly, Western Civilization. Not that I'm for Jihad, I'm not at all, I think they're very sick individuals with a twisted God. However, there is coming a time when all religions will be outlawed for their acts against mankind (who can't see this coming?) and the United Nations will enforce this law stringently.

i don't think there should be a war. they are not called jihadists. jihad in Islam means struggle. anybody making jihad is struggling in God's cause. for example, a Muslim woman living in a certain part of the U.S. where people are racist. she has to struggle to wear the hijab or Islamic clothing because people tease her or harass her. she is struggling to keep her hijab to please God. this is jihad. there is also jihad of the sword, but this happens only when Muslims are at war. they can only call war on a people as long as it is self defense or if a leader wont allow his people to learn about Islam if they wanted to. that is when Muslims can launch war. plus in war, soldiers cannot harm women, children, nature around them, old or sick people. they can only fight the people taking part in the war.
