Okay... since its just strangers online here, you can tell the truth: do you have a kid that's an idiot that just won't get any smarter no matter what you do to try and help?

Does your spouse always brag about how smart this kid is, and you just want to slap them when they say that?

My kids are brilliant. Lacking in common sense sometimes but that is what we are there to help them with as they mature and grow.
Don't worry about feeling the way you do .... depending on your child's age he/she probably thinks you are an idiot too , if not give 'em a few more years. They probably will even tell you to your face rather than just write about it on the web.HA!HA!

No child is an idiot. Children learn at different rates of speed. And if any one brags about how smart the child is that is even better.

No, but have friends kids that are total idiots. Have one well-off friend whose kid still lives at home at 29 years old and just sits in front of the computer screen and playstation all day. They let him use the credit cards, pay for his car, and he just sits there. He is a college grad, which makes this even worse!
Apparently he gets it from his parents, though, because they are stupid enough to sit back and let this happen.

I have three kids two are confirmed IDIOTS, Police , drugs stealing, cheating welfare....yes true Idiots....seems not that uncommon ......what does that say ..?
