About twice a week I will be typing on the comp, and my feet will start to hurt. I just try and ignore it, and it goes away. Alomost everytime I stand up and just caullaspe, and realize both my feet r numb, I get up and try to use a wall to get to the sofa, I try not to but, I sometimes fall asleep and wake up fine. When I try to stay awake it stays numb until I give up and fall asleep. What could this be? Why could this be happening? i excersize normally, eat a healthy diet, and wear sneakers my doctor said would be good for me (I have bad alinment and my hips and knees are bad), they r not too tight, and they have good supports. Any ideas? Adivce pls?

It sounds like poor circulation,or nerves in your back or hips.Try a different chair to sit in at your computer. Definitely a question for your doctor.

Well sitting in one position for an extended period of time can cut off the blood flow to a certain part of your body.
(I know I get this when I sit cross-legged while playing games or reading.)
The lack of blood flow causes the numbness which makes it hard to put any pressure on that part of the body.
Best way to avoid this is to stnad and stretch every half-hour or so if you're typing for a long time.
If that's the problem, it's not really dangerous unless you sit for a reeeeeeeeally long time.

Have your doctor check your circulation in the leg, ankle and
foot. You could have bad circulation , neurapathy, edema,
blood clots, pinched nerve, or a variety of ailments but until you
have this checked out, you can't take care of this properly. Do this now , do not wait until it gets so bad that there might be nerve
damage or something else worse. It could be something very
serious or something easily treatable. You might have to have
surgery or just take a pill to reduce fluids in the ankle and wear
compression stockings. I stress to you to see the doctor and do
not wait too long.

When your leg and foot feels that way it is called sciatica because your sciatic nerve that runs through your leg is being stressed. This usually is caused by a herniated disc in your back. I have the same thing. I had to get cortisone shots in my back because of the pain and numbness in my leg and heel. I would suggest taking it easy on the running because you can hurt yourself.

My husband has had numbiness in his feet for going on a couple of years. We have had him to back doctors, foot doctors where we bought orthotics for him, bought over the counter shoe inserts etc. Nothing seemed to help. I mentioned his problem to my chiropractor and he said it was his tailbone and it needed adjustment. He has had two adjustment and he thinks it is getting a 'little' better. The numbiness has been there soooo long that it will take some time. You might try a chiropractor.

I think you slipped a disk in your back and your nerves are pinching together or you could have restless leg syndrome( yes it is a real diagnosis) Ask your Dr to check for a slipped disk in your back or RLS

Hope that helps

Do you have low back pain? If so, you could have a disk that is pinching a nerve. It could make your feet go numb, and if you have neck pain, you could have hand and finger numbness.
