I agree with you 100%. I can't imagine why any parent would want to let their children read even half of these questions....or even write some of the questions on here. There's enough stuff on the news right now telling you how many predators are out there. The parents need to wise up....

I agree to some degree. In this generation most kids are immature and would truly and dearly give some really dumb answers. But there are a few good kids who have morals. There are some kids who have some really good advice to give. Sometimes an answer needs to be given from a child's point of view. And maybe parents don't know about this site. Just like myspace. My parents didn't know what that was until they started hearing about people being kidnapped and raped in the news. But hey, somekids on here will just answer questions for the points. But remember some kids have good advice to give. SOME KIDS NOT ALL!!!!!

Because most parents are stupid and do not monitor their children's activities well, Internet or otherwise. We've become so afraid of how they'll feel, rather than just being good parents and enforcing what's right.

12 or 13 is young, but there are worse things they could be on than this site. Plus, even with blockers, I don't thing something like answers.yahoo would be on anyones top 10 hit list for 'bad sites'

my children are on the Internet at 10 and 12 but they are supervised. they each have their own computer but they are never left alone with them, I don't worry about my children, I worry who they may run into. I speak to 12 and 14 year olds when they contact me, I would much rather they talk to me, someone that means no harm to them rather than to keep surfing around until they meet some sleaze. the Internet is not a place for children to be left unencumbered but can be a fun learning place for them. be there to assist each one that you can . you don't get in trouble for talking to them , only by performing perverted actions. If you aren't a pervert you have nothing to worry about.

maybe they don't know the kid is on. They need to check up on the kid every now and then. Did'nt you do things when you were young that your parents did not know about? Maybe if the internet was there you would have been on it too. Also a lot of these kids could be latch key, or the parents are too busy working.

Some parents do not care what their children are doing as long as they are out of the way. They do not believe in parental controls or monitoring what sites the children go into.

I agree I read things I don't even wanna see sometimes and sad thing is , it comes from those obnoxious little 12 and 13 year olds. But... what do you do???????? I controlled my kids , I was one of those parents ,that just never got online til' the kids got grown and moved out of the house. Call me old fashion , but I lived without it and I didn't have the worries nor the insults of what my kids doing online, and they turned out just fine!

Because most parents are not watching them or the computer is in there bed room. You would be amazed at how many kids have there own computer. Some parents work also.

I agree!!! Lack of Parental Supervision!!! they give them too much access to passwords.. I know that if they really wanted to they can find a way to get on... but can't parents make it a lot harder for them to do it at least from home??? remove all cable/wires.when not supervised...
