Everyone is "pro life" and "pro choice". Whether you are for or against abortion is what the debate is about. "Pro life" and "pro choice" just sound nice.

I, for one, cannot. Murder, to me, is murder. There is no "gray" area. True a baby has not committed any sin, but I do not think we, as thinking human beings, can condone murder in any form, except when done in self defense, or when defending our Country from invading forces. I do believe that everyone has a right to their own opinion, which is why we live in a democracy. That men had to die for this "freedom" is a shame. I also believe that a murderer, even someone that kills another human being for no other purpose than hatred or greed is a sinner of the highest order. I have given this much thought and think that getting sentenced, after a fair trial, to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole, is probably worse than putting this sinner to death. They are humanely given either the gas chamber, sedated, or whatever means each State uses, and for them, it is over quickly and painlessly. Life in prison is a long, day after day, punishment and without all the "deals" to get them back on the streets, is more painful that death. That is my opinion and might not be a popular one, but my conscience would be clear enough that if I were on a jury would find it a just solution. Those that say jails are too crowded might consider putting violent criminals on a island somewhere, with no guards, no way to escape, and they would have to fight only with each other. Sounds too simple, I know, but workable. Politics has made solutions to curtail crime too complicated and it is time to let the victims of these criminals vote on whether they would find this acceptable. As a victim, I would.

Easy.
God's Word commands just penalty according to the crime.
Anywhere from a warning, all the way to death.
The punishment for pre-meditated murder is death.
Unborn children have committed no crime.
This is where the law messes up. Abortion IS pre-meditated murder, but thanks to "medical terminology", society has been duped into believing that a "fetus" is not human. Which in itself is really, people turning a blind eye, because they don't want to admit they could be wrong. Just like 150 years ago, when black people wre not considered to be "human", it was not against the law to kill them either. Until our country divided on the issue and it came to war.
The term "fetus" adheres to the human the same way the term "toddler" or "adolescent" or "adult" or "geriatric". They are all terms of "human development".
It's all common sense, but in a society saturated with selfishness and sex, children can be considered an "inconvenience".

I don't know. All I know is that a life is a life.
If you consider a fetus life, then don't decide which life is more important. That's not exactly your call. Someone could be on death row, but they still might be loved by someone, in fact probably multiple people. Why cause all those people's suffering?
A baby is innocent, yes, but don't Christians teach forgiveness and aren't they the ones who are super pro life and oftimes pro death penalty?
I dunno, I just don't get the whole "OMG OMG OMG DON'T KILL A FETUS!! OMG IT'S MURDER!!!!" but then.. killing someone who has already led a life, or part of one, well, eh, go ahead and kill them. They deserve it anyway.
No, that's horrible and wrong. Life is life. Life is equal, no matter how "innocent" one may be.

You know what? I'm not what you would call pro life but what a great question! And I had to tell you so! I've often wondered how they would answer that. I'm pro choice but when I try to tell others it's not really about pro abortion, but rather about a woman's right to chose what to do with her own body, they balk at that. I wonder how many people on death row are really innocent? I know a lot have been exonerated. Hats off to you for this one!!!

It would be impossible! I dont believe in the death penalty, and I believe that at 18 days a babys heart beats! Life is sacred, and we are in this laberinth because of our disregard for life! I dont understand how some people can protect ,alligators, bears, panthers and yet in this same bloodline fight for the right to abort{kill} a n over five month old baby!!!! We will have consequenses of this.

Yes,I always find doing my qwn research on questions such as these reflect the intensity of my own search for truth, here are some sources that I doubt you'll access:Vine's lexicon of the Greek and Hebrew Language, I use the one that is cross referenced with Strong's Concordance, an extensive listing of every word in the bible and it's meaning in the original text can then be found in Vine's. Words such as murder and kill. There are different terms for putting someone to death as a consequence for guilt in a crime and the taking of innocent life...such as the life of Jesus. In this type of study one can plainly see Jesus' references to Hell, money, the poor, children, sickness, healing, heaven, the self righteously religious of that time, the pharisees and his position toward them. The Hebrew meaning for master, savior, teacher, lord,Abba, we have traditionally translated Father when in actuality it is the more familiar childlike "daddy" .an infomal address. A good bible handbook that reflects the norms of those different times.

Really easily, pro life is believing that killing babies before they are born is wrong(obviously) and believing in the death penalty is believing that why should we support a bunch of murderers and rapist while they spend their life in prison when we could just kill them since they deserve it.

I agree with you. The Catholic bishops of the United States spoke in the 1990's about the seamless garment theory. They meant that terminating the unborn fetus was the same as capital punishment. Catholics have a very strong voice on abortion, but war and capital punishment are thornier issues.
