My eyes lately have been extremely red during the last week. I have been in the sun for many hours and was wondering why thay have been red. I was thinking that it may have to do with the sun. I have lived in the sun my entire life, yet this has never happened to me.

Your eye balls can not be sunburned, but the stress of looking into the sun could cause them to be red.

It's possible that you have red eyes when you are in the sun, no, not because of sunburn, but maybe because it's a hot day and your eyes needs moisture so that you could see better....and try to use sunglasses, another possibility is that too much sun ray may get into your eyes....dust particles too...drink lots of water then

red eyes aren't caused by the sun. they're probably dry, tired, or you have allergies. get some Clear Eyes or Visine. if the regular kind doesn't work, get Visine-A for allergies or something for really dry eyes like Moisure Eyes or Systane.
