My surprise came a couple of years ago when I went to see Prince. I always considered him a Rocker, more than anything else, and really was shocked to see the audience was more than half black!

Not quite shocked but pleasantly surprised:
Age demographics -
Mid 90s - The Beach Boys - 12 to 16 year olds - mostly with parents, and really enjoying the music, and some elderly folks, about 80 years old (with their sons and daughters).
3 years ago - Rod Stewart concert - quite a bit of young people, and some really older ones, too--and of course the middle-age never say die rockers...
overall demographics - (early 90s) - the late, great Ray Charles - young, old, black, white...it was amazing.
Its great to see everyone enjoying the same music!

Radiohead. two times over. 14 july (14 july) 2003 on the roman amphitheatre in Nimes, France. Roasting warm, sunlight going on, astonishing environment and each and all of the strange stuff from baby A and Amnesiac that I before hadn't enjoyed lots without warning made experience. They have been additionally amazing on the Empire Ballroom Blackpool final Friday. Being concentrated visitor listed meant I have been given in early and ended up 2nd row back from the degree surrounded via many human beings lots shorter than me!!!!

When I went to my first rap concert a few years ago, I expected the majority of the crowd to be black. Several hundred people attended the event, and there were maybe ten black people in attendance.

Aerosmith was one. My son took me and he was 19, I was 44, and there were people there that were older and younger than us!
