I have a sunburn on my face, (not a bad one, just a little pink) but still, i don't want it to peel or anything (cuase thats kind of gross, ew). Does anyone know what i should put on it to keep it from possibly peeling, and to make it go away faster? Thanks!

You can try aloe and moisturizer, but it still might peel. Next time wear sunscreen!

icepack as soon as possible, assuming you got the burn today.

Then fresh raw aloe vera gel applied directly to the burned areas is the very best thing. Cut open the aloe vera plant leaf, be sure to cut away the green and scratchy parts, leaving only the clear gel-like interior. Apply it directly to the skin as oftne as possible.

Other good treatments are vitamin E directly from the inside of the vitamin capsule, and or essential oil of lavender.

Also you can take extra vitamin A, and Vitamin E , and vitamin C in addition to making sure you take an excellent multi vitamin, to help the healing process go as well as possible. These can be very helpful.

Do not use butter, or other oils as formerly recommended in old wives tales, that in general only serves to help "cook" the tissue more.

I always use aloe gel whenever I get a sunburn. I use it every day, several times a day to keep the burnt skin moist. If/when it starts to peel use a gentle exfoliating product and keep on moisturizing.

Sunburn is like any other burn you might get. First put cold water and Ice on it for as long as you can stand it. Then but the cold wet towels back on for a while longer.

If you still have a problem get some vitamin E based cream from the health food store. Put your first response has to be icy cold wet towels at least for 1/2 hour to an hour. It will take the burn out.

It works... I guarantee it!

The best thing to use is Aloe. The best source of this is straight from an Aloe plant. Break off one of the leaves and split it lengthwise and then rub the slimy inside part on your burn. Sounds gross but it truly helps the healing and immediately relieves the burning sensation. Take if from me. I've used this many times myself.

Yes!!!! Banano Boat After Sun Moisturizing Ltion. BUT.....
If you have really oily sking, don't use it! It will clog your pores and then your skin will peel and then underneath the dry patch, it will have a comedic knot. I would recommend washing your face as always before bed and in the am and applying your normal moisturizer! Seroiusly, unless it's terrible, just do the norm! Believe me, I know all about this face business!

You could try Aloe Vera Gel. It cools and moisturizes, but if it is going to peel, it will peel. Nothing I know of can stop it.

I sometimes peel when I get burnt or tanned. Nothing can stop it. Its your skins way odf getting use to the sun since you probably haven't gotten tan in a long period of months. Try aloe gels or lotions containing aloe or vitamin e.
