Been there!!!! My first didn't get teeth until she was 14 months but my last three between 4 months and 7 months!!! they will come when they are ready.. just hang in there!!! Just remember Tylenol, Tylenol, Tylenol and also a good trick is: when she does start teething:
Take a washcloth and place a piece of ice in it make like a pouch, i call it an ice ball, wrap a rubber band at the bottom to secure the ice and let her chew away one the ice... the texture and the coldness does wonders....
don't waste too much money on teething toys and Orajeal, doesn't taste too good anyway!!!!

My daughter did not get her first tooth until she was 15 months old. They were not worried about it either. They said that the later they come in the less chance of them decaying. My daughter is now 8 yrs old and she Just lost her first baby tooth Nov. 25 2005. She lost her second one May 15th 2006. She has only lost 2 and they are still not worried. I am because I had 3 baby teeth at the age of 16 remaining only to find out that my canine teeth were impacted over my front teeth. I had to have surgery to put them in the right place. I am fearing my daughter will be the same.
My advise to you is keep on top of things just to monitor. No matter what the dr's say. Good luck to you~ Bon

I can relate! My son will be 1 on July 28th and there is not even the first sign of a tooth in his mouth! His dr. isnt worried either. I was just joking with my family the other day that we were going to have to order him some baby dentures! His teeth are there, they just havent felt like coming out yet. Both of my other children had teeth by 3 months. But he looks so cute when he smiles and he is all gums! :) I'm sure your child is fine too.

I'm not sure about that because my baby started teething around 4months but she didn't get her first tooth until she was 6 months old. Maybe she won't get any until she turn 1 . yes i would worry but i know someone and their child did the same thing. but soon as she does it's going to be trouble on your hands

My first didn't get any teeth until 8 months, and since it was my first I was climbing the walls wishing for my child to be "normal". My second got his first two teeth the week before his first birthday and his second two the week after. He's now six and his front teeth are loose, but aren't falling out. My niece didn't get any teeth till she was about 14 months.
I've heard a rumor that it makes for stronger teeth in the future, although it does cause a temporary problem feeding a kid who is intellectually ready for solids but not dentally ready.

Children all grow at their own pace. Even if it was a medical problem, you couldn't do anything about it to make them come in anyway. Don't worry about something you have no control over it's not good for you or the baby you are carrying.

I understand! My daughter was 13 months old when she got her first tooth. Don't worry - it will happen, her teeth will come in. It may not be convienent for you, but the teeth are in there! :)

well first of all congrats on your child...
it is normal for a child to not develop teeth at age one.
maybe in a month or so they will start growing. Trust me i know from my niece, her teeth didn't come in until 2 months after her 1st birthday. and now she have a full set of healthy teeth.

Honey you have nothing to worry about. All kids are different and grow at their own pace, and that includes teething, walking, etc.
