Good question. There are two questions underlying it that makes it either simple or complex to answer: (1) What is the definition of reality?; and (2) How does one have a hypothetical discussion about something that is not real? I think a good analog concerning God that answers these two questions, is the discovery of the atom.

Prior to the technology that made it possible to actually "see" an atom, the notion of the atom existed merely as an idea in the mind of the scientist. In particular, there were many ideas proposed to explain what an atom might look like. However, there was never really any doubt about its existence.

Similarly, the existence of God as a tangible entity (e.g., a physical being of some kind), is probably what most people are thinking when they assert that God is not "real". However, I would assert that God is a real (i.e., physical) entity. The real crux of the argument seems more about coming to an agreement about the true nature (psychologically speaking) of God--much like prior to the discovery of the atom, the true nature of the atom.

God is real!!! Who are you to say he isn't? Your question shouldn't even be asked, at least not worded that way. You should say, Since I believe God isn't real, should I regard all questions about God hypothetical? Why don't you believe God isn't real, who created the universe? Evolution can't be real, I can always find a fault in it no matter what the theory. The only logical explanation is for a Supreme Being aka. God.

How do you know God isn't real? Can you prove that He isn't? Do you think that you have all that you do because of who you are? Or because of Who He is?
It's a healthy thing to question about God, this is how we find out Who He is. All questions are important and are not hypothetical. There, I finally answered your question! lol

Are you even Bill Clinton???
How can you be so sure that God isn't real? You cannot disprove God, just as you might say you can't prove he exists, except for the Bible, of course, which shows that at least some type of supernatural power exists!I started writing this before Goldwin, but now that I see what he wrote, he said what I was trying to say!

Well in the context in which you are posing the question then yes the logical answer to your question is that all questions about God is hypothetical. However, I believe that God is real and that all questions about Him is logical and needs not to be tested in order to confirm His existence.

You question has a basic flaw in it. It cannot be answered. Neither you nor anyone else can state, "Since God isn't real, " you can only say "Since I believe God isn't real, ...." and therefore, you question loses any validity and cannot be answered. Please note...I am not declaring either way, I am commenting on the quality of the question...You are just trying to stir it up..it has been rather quiet today, hasn't it?

I don't want to disappoint an ex-president but god is real and all questions are not hypothetical

No.

On second thought, perhaps they are to you, since God isn't real to you. But God is indeed real. Take that statement however you want; I realize it displays a certain amount of pretentiousness (from your point of view), but since neither of us could ever definitively prove or disprove the existence of God to the other, we're forever in a stalemate, so I theoretically have the right to such statements. =P

Hypothetically speaking, your question is hypothetical to begin with. You must first realize the error of your ways and rephrase your question so that we could actually answer it in the first place.

Bill, you know better than that. You know that God IS real or you wouldn't have been counseled during those difficult times (You know when I'm talking about) by Jesse Jackson. So, since God IS real, Bill, this question is moot. (I think you ought to stick to political questions.)
