I married a man who has custody of his three sons. There are women out there who are honest and respect a man who takes responsibility for his children, whether they have custody or not. If you are patient and take time to develop the relationship you just might find THE ONE that is right for you and your children.
One thing to be aware of though, don't assume that once you are married to her that she should take on the "mother" role completely, either to just give you a break, or because you believe your child's mother is inadequate. You may put pressure on your relationship that is unhealthy. My husband, now my ex, did drop out of parenting for the most part after we were married. I took the kids to the doctor, talked to the school counselors, teachers, etc.... It was the kids that were hurt in the long run of the relationship. They did not respect my position as the step mother and my husband did not appreciate my effort and initiative. The advice I can give once you do find THE ONE is to respect her, appreciate her, and keep being there for your children.

Your single, theyr'e married, so your'e not cheating they are. You don't have a promise out there to anyone.
On a more practical matter, your best bet is still through the online personals and just put "no married women". That will do 2 things. One it will discourage a few of the married women so lessen the useless e-mails, secondly it will arouse the single women reading your ad to say "hmmmm why are all these married women after him?...I'll check it out".
Is your kid a boy or girl ? If a boy, make your ad as 2 men looking for one woman (and yes one is looking for a mother figure) It'll be humorous and they'll like it. If a girl .....not so good. Single woman would rather not be competing with a little backstabbing female like she was when she was that age.

I believe they (single women) are out there but in the internet world accessibility is now at such a higher level and easier to hide behind - at least if you are finding out these women are married then they aren't all dishonest. Too many people are throwing bait out there due to unhappiness, loneliness or the need for validation - but with patience you will find a natural fit for you who will love your children and you. I know it sounds corny but it will happen - anything too forced won't work in the long run. All you can do is be honest and expect honesty back and avoid the hits from married women as if they would do that to their current spouse they will certainly do it again if they were in a relationship with you or any other next man. I would bet it has discouraged you but be true to yourself and firm in your responses but as a guilty pleasure at least enjoy your attractiveness that must be appealing to women.

single women don't want your responsibility but expect you to take on theirs. it's not a perfect world, hang in there and one will come along.
