If that christian was also a jedi, he could have used force power "calm animal". Are christians trained in use of lightsabers? Read somewhere that there are many similarities between "The force" and "christianity".

P.s Force lightning would fry the cat...easily.

Depends on whether or not his name is Daniel. In essence even though I do not claim to be a Christian per say, I do believe that if God is for you who can be against you. This applies beyond the Christian scope of things. There are many possibilities besides the Christian dying. The lion could have a heart attack. The Christian could be a master of martial arts. A well placed finger in the eye can kill a lion as well as a man. Finally among many other possibilities this person may be spiritual enough that the animal may chose not eat him. Animals are usually more intuitive than people. In my experience with dogs, if you are not afraid and act friendly they usually follow suit. Or given all this, God just might intervene. In general God takes a more passive role allowing freewill to express itself, but I believe God can and does act. But yes, in all probability the Christian would die. But remember there is no such thing as a sure bet. We often get surprised when we least expect it, remember the twin towers. What odds would the bookies given that one? Above all you need to question your heart why you asked such a question. Do you feel anger towards Christians? There are elements to a fundamentalists theology that drive me batty too but I certainly do not fantasize about their deaths.

50 to 1 with the lion winning. I think that the human could have a small chance if he/she knows how to fight (since running will not do any good)

You see though, there's a flaw in your course of action. If you wait for God to intervene as an act of proof that he exists, it will never happen. It's not until you believe unequivocally in God's existence and power to save you that he would ever actually show up in such circumstances and perform a 'miracle.' This is because God is not a puppy dog you can direct here and there...

The lion doesn't stand a chance. The christian will whip out the bible and start preaching and the lion will die of bordom listening to the crap spewing forth...

It all depends upon what time period you are talking about. If it was back in the days of Daniel, then God would save his people miraculously as a sign looking ahead to our ultimate Savior, Christ Jesus who was to come and provide salvation.

But since Jesus came and died for our sins, now for the most part God let's his people die as martyrs to show that they are following Jesus who has come and died for us.
